Thermal images record the amount of radiation emitted by an object. The amount of radiation emitted by an object increases with temperature therefore, thermal images allow one to see variations in temperature.
NatureSurf Systems has a high resolution thermal sensor system that detects a variety of anomalies to be used in a wide array of different applications. Using thermal sensors, we are able to detect human activities at night, under thick foliage, or in open-water. This data can be applied in search and rescue missions as well as for detection of illegal activities.
We use airborne GPS and IMU to optimize image collection and for image geo-positioning, providing our clients with geospatially-accurate maps for precise measurements and locations.
Feature detection through thermal sensor systems is useful for identifying underground pipelines, performing energy audits and for monitoring construction and energy infrastructure. Thermal mapping enables us to differentiate between objects according to their natural thermal capacities and heat emissivity (which differ based on their composition), whether they are hidden or exposed.
